5/May next meeting will be a presentation by Brian Purcell. Brian Purcell will be giving a talk on ‘GB Basic Letter Rates 1839-1970’ at Bristol Philatelic Society on Thursday 5th May. Several members of the Society will remember Brian for the major roles he played in the Society for many years before he moved from Bristol. Brian is particularly well known for his knowledge of local Postal History and GB Postal History, in general, and has shown several displays to the Society in the past on various aspects of this area.
