The programme for the season 2024/2025.
Visitors are welcome at all meetings.
These meetings will be held at our normal time of 19:30 pm and in two locations, the Rear Lounge, Civil Service Sports Club, Filton Avenue, Horfield, Bristol, BS7 0AT (Woodlands – W) and the Upper Meeting Room, United Reform Church Hall, 1 Redland Park Road, Redlands, Bristol, BS6 6SA (Redland – R).
2024

September 12th – Members Evening: New buys or old favourites (R)
September 26th – Presentation by Wendy Buckle on “Writing Materials throughout the ages & Illustrated Manuscripts” (R)
October 10th – Carlton Jones Entertains (R)
October 14th – Presentation by Austin Meares on “Norfolk Island” (W)
October 24th – OPEN EVENING (R)
November 11th -Presentation by Ian Spencer” “20,000 Km around Australia” (W)
November 14th – Presentation by Barry Stagg on “Parachutes” (R)
November 28th – Presentation by Kevin Darcy on “Turks and Caicos Islands” (R)
December 9th– Members evening: Something else I also collect (W)
December 12th– Christmas Festivities, and Member’s evening: “your favourite stamp(s)”(R)

January 9th – Member’s evening: Any subject starting with the letters of your surname (R)
January 13th – Member’s Auction: Maximum 20 lots (W)
January 23rd – Presentation by John Biddlecolme on “Interesting Aspects of New Zealand” (R)
January 24th – Visit to Thornbury Stamp Club (Thornbury)
February 9th – Presentation by Phillip Shipp on “Newspaper Philately” (W)
February 13th – Bristol Internal Competition: 9 pages (R)
February 27th – Member’s Evening: “Paintings (thematic), posters, postcards, & postal stationary” (R)
March 10th – Visit from Thornbury Stamp Club (W)
March 13th – One-Page Competition and Bourse (R)
March 27th– Presentation by Dr. Ken Flint on “Cyprus – Its history and stamps” (R)
April 10th– Presentation by Kim Stuckey on “GB QEII Predecimal History” (R)
April 14th – Presentation by John Roe on “Early Airmail to 1939” (W)
